Our Favourite Home Cleaning Gadgets of 2022
Many cleaning jobs require lots of elbow grease to produce sparkling results. Thankfully, there are some excellent gadgets avaliable to make the bulk of the work more efficent. Here are our favourites of 2022.
Aircraft Powerglidge Cordless Hard Floor Cleaner
When client’s ask about the best way to clean shiny porcelain tiles, there are two options we suggest:
1) if you’re low matinence, rip them up and put something easier to clean down
2) buy the Aircraft Powerglide Hard Floor Cleaner
As hard floor cleaners go, this is the best we’ve found. Light, simple to use (you only need water) and does a great job at bringing-up tiles to a shine. It’s rotating motion is also pretty satisfying to use, turning a job which most of the team loathed (it’s a challenge to bring it up to a standard we feel happy with!) into something we look forward to. It’s also suitable for sealed wood & vinyl. And at £199 considerably cheaper than replacing tiles!
Bissel Spot Clean Pro
No matter how careful you are, your home is there to be enjoyed and accidents happen (although it does always seem to be when you’ve just bought a new rug!). For those annoying spills, the Bissel Spot Clean Pro does a good job at removing the substance quickly and at £129 is reasonably priced. It’s easy to use (although noisy!) and a great gadget to have on hand to prevent any stains becoming dried out and lodged into fibres. We wouldn’t recommended it if you’re looking to do your entire carpet in a larger room but for smaller spaces and odd upholstery jobs it’s perfect.
Miele Complete C3 Cat & Dog Flex Hoover
If you’re in the market for a new hoover in 2023, you cannot do much better than the Miele Complete C3. Although at the pricier end of the domestic market and £329, the overall design, suction power, attachments make it well worth it. You’re able to easily change the settings with your foot, it’s light to use and robust. We recommend this model especially to any pet owners where shedding is a constant battle - it makes light work of the hair.
