You’ll Love these 3 Sustainable Home Brands
With growing demand for sustainable options, many brands have responded to the desire for home products to be effective and enviromentally conscious.
Here are some of our favourites:
Kinfill
Only 13% of waste sent to recycling centres, actually gets recycled. Kinfill was synthesised as a solution to the single use plastic problem, creating a cleaning system with sustainability as a covenant of creation, not an afterthought.
Kinfill’ products are made from 100% eco-friendly ingredients. Their kits include sculpted glass bottles and concentrates of biodegradable cleaning solutions, all packaged in one sheet of recycled cardboard. The best part is that all of this goodness, hasn't come at the cost of beauty or customer experience; their site, products and socials are wonderfully aesthetic. As cleaning products go, they are the pinnacle of chic.
Their full house collection is priced at €59.95 - an initial investment in a kit that will last you years. The cleaning concentrate replacements are €19.90.Bramley
I came across Bramley whilst staying in No. 38 The Park (A gorgeous boutique hotel in Cheltenham, well worth a visit!). The combination of botanical packaging, fresh natural fragrance and soothing formulas, from a British brand whose genesis was inspired by the countryside, had me at the first lather!
Bramley avoid questionable ingredients - such as sulphates - that dry-out your skin and hair, as well as micro-beads which are harmful to aquatic life. They also contribute to a fantastic charity called Plantlife, that champions wildflower conservation. Recently, they added reusable 250ml glass bottles to their ranges and a 5L bulk-buy size, giving you more avenues to reduce your plastic consumption.
At HomeThyme we use Bramley room sprays to scent our clients homes. They are priced at £16 for 100ml. We love them because we can feel confident that inhalation won't hurt your health, or ours. We’re keeping our fingers crossed they come out with cleaning products!Bower Collective
Named after the brightly coloured Bowerbird who recycles plastic scraps to create their nest, this brand has waste reduction and innovation at its core.
Bower has a diverse range of household cleaning and washing products, that you’re able to purchase in recyclable 1L pouches. When you have collected four pouches, you pop them in the pre-paid postage box (which comes with your order) and send them back to Bower for recycling (they are working on a way to reuse and refill the pouches at scale). You also have the option of subscribing to their products, to ensure you are never caught empty-handed after a blitz.
We use many of their products - including their trigger bottles (£9.50), grapefruit washing up liquid (£3.99) - at HomeThyme, having found the quality unmatched.
